THE 64TH edition of the largest amateur golfing tournament all over the world is once again ready to tee come last week of November.
Slated November 20 - December 7, the annual Fil-Am Invitational Golf tournament is set to lure thousands of golfers from all over the world.
Camp John Hay Development Corporation vice president for marketing Shean Bedi announced recently that more than 1,200 players from all over the Philippines, Mainland United States and the Pacific rim will see action in the 18-day tournament which kicks off with the seniors and lower division games on November 20.
According to the schedule released by the Fil-Am committee, the first week will see practice rounds starting on Nov. 20 until the 22nd that will conclude with the ceremonial tee at playing venue, the Baguio Country Club and Camp John Hay golf courses.
Tournament proper starts for the seniors side, where Camp John Hay golf team with Bong Mandapat, Park Jong Won, Clyde Cabreros, Rudy Lockey, defend the Seniors Fil Championships, and Flights F, G and H. The awards ceremony will be on November 28.
The second half will start on November 28 for the regular flights from E, D, C, B, A and the championships flights where Forest Hill defend in the premiere Fil Championship and Matikas in the Am Championship.
Games start on December 1, with the championship flight teams opening their bid on Dec.3. The awarding ceremony, this time at Camp John Hay, will be on December 7.
