SLU stays unbeaten in YMCA basketball-A A +A

WITH seven consecutive wins and no loss, Saint Louis Laboratory High School varsity continued their romp in the on-going elimination round of the third YMCA Invitational Basketball Tournament after stopping Mary Immaculate School, 107 – 43.
University of the Cordilleras High School remained at second place after scoring their seventh win in eight games while handling the Saint Louis School Center their second loss after eight outings with a 72 61 win.
Saint Louis Aurora Hill meanwhile edged Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori, 92-48, for their third win in seven games as Salud Mitra Barangay won over United basketball, 77-57.
In the elementary division, Berkeley continue to top the team standing after securing their seventh win over Tabora Elementary School, 75 – 31.
UC Grade School is at second with their five wins and one loss after beating Mt. Carmel, 70 – 46, for their second loss in two games
Mary Immaculate also won over Lucban Elementary School, 50 – 21.
In the Corporate Division, Joe Cats waxed hot from their outside post as they beat City Hall in a 99 – 90 victory.
It was City Hall who started strong, enjoying a ten point edge at half time before Joe Cats took a run in the pay off canto that saw them lead by five in the finals two minutes of the ball game.
Dan Felipe lead Joe Cates with 27 points while Jonathan Bautista added 21 markers. City Hall was paced by Raul Occasion and Quirico Bambico who had 29 and 18 points.
