BAGUIO College of Technology Atoms simply dominated Pines City Colleges Warriors to tighten its hold of the third rank in men's basketball of the BBEAL season 27 during the weekend.
With no hesitation in creating big offensive plays, the BCT pinned down the Warriors at the bottom of the team standings, 116-55, at the UC gym.
Atoms head coach Willy Antonio claimed in spite of their win, his players still lack the assertiveness in the offensive rhythm.
“Kulang pa rin yung pagiging aggressive nila sa paglalaro, dapat sana kaya pa nilang ilayo ang points pero some of the plays hindi nila nakokompleto,” Antonio said.
Right from the start of the opening buzzer, the Atoms were already running as Jervie Calibo started the spark for BCT.
With a full court press by the Atoms, BCT forced ten turnovers from the Warriors during the first quarter in succession leaving a double digit lead, 36-13.
Collective efforts in offense from the Atoms continue to flourish as the hapless Warriors don’t find luck shooting from their own end of the floor as the first half came to a close on a 57-25.
“I told my players na ganyan talaga ang laro ng basketball, just enjoy and do your best, and that’s what they did,” Antonio said.
“Everything we did right here, we will carry to our next game, ganun pa rin ang game plan be aggressive sa offense at defense,” Antonio added.
BCT bagged their fourth straight after two strings of losses for a hold of the third in the team standings after their take of last year failed to take flight with only one win to boast. (Mark Victor Pasagoy)
