BESIDES preparing for his upcoming One FC bout, Eugene Toquero spends his time with celebrities.
Toquero spends his time conducting personal training at Ultimate Fitness gym, the preferred mixed martial arts gym for celebrities. He counts Luis Manzano, Michelle Madrigal, Richard Gutierrez, Polo Ravales, Geoff Eigenman, Sarah Lahbati, Bela Padilla, Kylie Padilla, and Bubbles Paraiso as some of his clients.
But his debut would not be an easy one though as he faces one of the country’s top flyweight prospect Geje Eustaquio of Team Lakay, undoubtedly the country’s top mix martial arts gym.
With the role reversal, several of the celebrities he has trained is expected to attend One FC’s third offering in Manila that will be topbilled by Igorot fighter Honorio Banario against tormentor Oishi Koji for the promotion’s world featherweight trap.
The fifth son in the siblings of six, Toquero was born and raised in Alcantra, Cebu
Formerly part of the Muay Thai national team, he follows a strict training regime that he has translated over to his training in MMA.
His striking prowess has also transitioned well, and led him to four TKO victories in four bouts.
Eustaquio meanwhile has established himself as one of the best Flyweights in Asia, even defeating a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt in Alex Silva in his ONE FC debut.
With his celebrity friends in attendance to lend their support, Toquero will look forward to topple Eustaquio as the king of the flyweights in the Philippines and set his sights on flyweight gold in the near future. (PR)
