Lone archery entry struck medals-A A +A

ARCHERS from Eastern La Trinidad National High School hit their marks in the in the recently concluded Benguet Provincial Athletic Meet 2013 held at the Benguet Sports Complex last December 4-7.
Delilah Kial led the dominance for ELTNHS shooting first place marks in the girls 30, 50, 60, and FITA events and adding another third in the Olympic rounds.
Medina Antonio hit first place in the 40 meter distance girls and added second place hits in the 30, 60, and FITA events.
Danny Fernandez also topped in the boys 50 meter distance, and landed in the second spots of the 30, 40, and FITA rounds.
Delight Viernes ranked second place in the girls 40 and Olympic round, and a decent third in the 50 meter girls distances, while Cliff Mente also secured a second place in the boys 50 meter event.
Lanier Martin contributed to the medal haul hitting the mark in the boys 30, 40, 60, and FITA and second place in the Olympic round.
Davie James Madlaing hit first place in the boys Olympic round, and rounding up second placers in the 40 and 60 meter events, with decent third spots in the 30, 30, 60, and FITA events.
Ruby Belino also hauled awards winning first place in the girls Olympic round, second in the 50 meter distance, and third placers in the 30, 40, 60, and FITA events.
Division sports coordinator and Benguet athletic manager Pablo Khayog Jr. said earlier archers from La Trinidad were the only entries for the archery event.
"Only La Trinidad has sent athletes for archery, pero kahit ganun we still let them compete against each other for ranking purpose in preparation of CARAA 2014," Khayog said.
The province of Benguet will host next year’s Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association where young athletes from all over the region to showcase their skills.
