District 3 tankers shine in City Meet-A A +A

DISTRICT 3 elementary tankers waded their way to 17 gold medals including seven silver and eight bronze medals to top the swimming competition in the Palarong Panlungsod recently.
Dan Christian Leyba led to dominance of District 3 by topping the boys 100 meter backstroke, 200 meter individual medley, 100 meter freestyle, 50 meter backstroke, and 50 meter freestyle.
Elize Llana Labao had her share of the gold medal haul by topping the girls’ 100 meter backstroke, 50 meter butterfly, and 50 meter backstroke.
Elmo Ragudos snatched gold in the boys’ 50 meter butterfly and silver in the 100 meter breaststroke, with Serville Raymundo had bronze in both 100 meter breaststroke and the 50 meter category.
Arnold Rogelio Calosing took his silver medal in the boys’ 50 meter butterfly event and won the bronze in the 100 and 50 meter freestyle, and 100 meter butterfly event.
In the distaff, Zonia Ysabel Mejia bagged silver medals in the 200 and 400 meter freestyle, 200 meter IM, and bronze medal in the 50 meter backstroke race.
Nyana Jil Calpito took silver medals in the 50 and 100 meter butterfly race, and bronze in the 50 and 200 meter freestyle events.
Leyba, Raymundo, Calosing, and Ragudos also dominated in the boys’ 200 meter medley relay, while the group of Labao, Mejia, Ma. Chere Halene Oppod, and Breanna Isabel Almoite topped the girls event.
District 1 took the second seat in the elementary overall medal tally with a 10-10-9 record and followed by District 2 with their 1-9-3 haul. Mark Victor Pasagoy
