THE uphill countryside of Benguet is set to challenge runners from all over the region, as they join this year’s Resolution Run 2014 starting at Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad slated February 16.
Organized by Extreme Cordillera-Extreme Sports and Events in partnership with the Province of Benguet, hundreds of local and visiting competitors are set to test their speed and endurance as the first 21K half marathon this year fires off in the province.
“This will be the first of the series of extreme events that the team will hold for this year, it was meant to be scheduled last January but we waived to reschedule to give way sa ibang important events,” said race organizer Kurt Sebio.
The race will feature a 21-kilometer half marathon with a 14-kilometer distance side event, each taking up different trail routes including both on-road and off-road footpaths, with registration fees of P250 and P200 respectively.
Organizers said registration fees are inclusive of race bibs and snack. Certificates for all race finishers will also be given.
Top ten finishers for the 14K male and female category will receive a finisher’s medal, with the top three for both categories receiving individual cash prizes.
