LYCEUM Northwestern University Dukes displayed a resounding victory after edging University of Baguio Cardinals, 84-79, to secure their fourth straight in the on-going open bracket eliminations of the 8th Panagbenga Cup Invitational Basketball Tournament.
After being trailed 17-23 in the first quarter of the ballgame, the Dukes rallied to control the next three periods and improve their team standings recently at the Easter College gym.
“Definitely the team will go for a sweep in the eliminations, nagkaroon na kami ng feel sa mga teams na nakalaro at napanood naming maglaro. Nasa amin ang momentum and the team feel great,” said Lyceum head coach Angel Gumarang.
“We hope we can do the same performance all throughout the season, we just need to always prepare and condition ourselves,” Gumarang added.
