With gun start at 5 a.m., runners compete in a 50-kilometer run passing through the panoramic mountain trails of La Trinidad.

Side events will also include 22 and 5-kilometer races that will also put junior test the runners strength and endurance.

Organizers said participants will be given race shirts, race bibs, certificates, post-race snacks, including finisher’s medal and finisher’s shirt for the 50K and 22K contestants.

Winners in the 50K category will also generate point credits needed to qualify and get a chance to take the overall title prize of P50,000 when all six of the race legs finish this October.

The Strawberry leg is seen to lure hundred of runners as onsite registration will still be allowed to accommodate more participants.
The event, branded as the biggest series of foot races in the province, is created to promote the whole of Benguet covering race distances of 50K, 100K, 125K, 100K, 116K, and 50K respectively.

Other races included on Tour de Benguet’s leg sprints are Bronze Leg (June 21), Potato Leg (July 19), Handicraft Leg (August 23), Lions Leg (September 20), and Pineapple Leg (October 19).
