13th CHESAA opens August 21-A A +A

A HIGHER level of collegiate sports action is expected to get underway as the 13th season of the Cordillera Higher Education Athletic Association (CHESAA) readies to tip off with Kings College of the Philippines as host.
Local colleges in this side of the region will get to cheer for their schools once again as CHESAA is set to unveil its season’s formal opening tentatively August 21st.
KCP sports coordinator Danny Eduardo said preparations are already discussed among the executive committee.
"So far we are already discussing the design to get the season going for this academic year, nothing has been finalized yet but as usual we stick to the same schedule, we just have to be consistent sa sports agenda this year," Eduardo said.
He also mentioned of plans to keep the member schools to actively participate in all sport contest.
"Malaking bagay na lahat ng member ng CHESAA is active since that will be determining the success of our organization, we will try to figure that out in our next board meeting," Eduardo said.
According to Eduardo, KCP will also inquire to each of the member schools for further suggestion on how to improve their organization.
He said if the whole thing permits maybe they can actually give a more prominent staging for this year.
“Last season was quite an advance to our organization, of course through the leadership of last season’s host school. As a member of CHESAA’s institution, we look forward to help each other in doing it again and in the next following years,” Eduardo quipped.
He said schedule of sport competitions for the first phase will be given after the scheduled executive meeting in the first week of July.
Aside from host KCP, CHESAA member schools include AMA College, Baguio College of Technology, Baguio School of Business and Technology, Benguet Vocational School, Data Center College of the Philippines, Easter College Inc., NIIT-Baguio, Philippine Nazarene College, Philippine Women’s University, and HML College.
