FROM four wheels to two wheeled vehicles, Baguio riders are definitely a class of their own.

Young rider Jaypaul Samuel Wayet is fast becoming a household name in motocross after bringing home the top honors in the Junior 50cc category during the 2014 National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association National Motocross Championships at the Speedworld MX Circuit, Bicutan, Parañaque during the weekend.

The nine-year-old racing prodigy edged Cedrick Altamirano of Batangas and Wenson Reyes from Bulacan who both settled for second and third place respectively. Laguna's Regina Flores snatched fourth place honors while upcoming rider Ralph Cuilan of Baguio City salvaged fifth place.

Mia Villon, who once reigned supreme in the 50 cc category landed second in the Junior 65 cc event while Kurt Amdengan placed third in the Novice Open production.

The group was fresh from their victories in the 7th Gov. Junie E. Cua Motocross Cup in Cabarroguis, Quirino on June 14 to 15.

Wayet topped the Junior 50cc event while Villalon placed fifth in the Junior 65cc category while Amdengan was also third in the Novice Open Production.

During the Araw ng Lalawigan ng Tarlac last month, the trio also brought home trophies at the close of the 3rd GoVic Invitational Motocross.

Wayet brought home the Junior 50cc and was third in the junior 65 cc category with Villalon in 5th. Amdengan brought home two 2nd place finishes in the Novice Open Production and Intermediate Production.

The team was backed by Bikemart, Bike Solutionz, Baguio Magic Detergents, HJC Philippines, and Dan's Bike Shop.
