ANOTHER lap, another record.

Castrol-Yokohama champion driver Carlos Anton easily erased his record he did just a few months ago at the Clark International Speedway.

Using his reliable Mark Young-Works Bell GTR, Anton came away with another record breaking time of 2:00.871 minutes erasing his previous record of 2:03.227 in the event held in honor of the founder of Circuit Showdown Enzo Pastor who was gunned down last June by still unidentified gunmen.

“It is great to do this at such a meaningful event for Enzo and his family. I thought the last time we set the record it would be hard to go any faster so now going 3 seconds faster is really something. We hit 280kph down the main straight and the A005 ADVAN Slicks kept the car stable all thru out the lap,” Anton said after the feat.

Anton’s nine-year-old son Iñigo also shared the laurels with his father when he snatched 3rd place in the highly contested racers in his bracket.
The younger Anton has now finished on the podium in the last 3 races he has joined and improved his time by over 6 seconds from the last time he ran CIS in April.

Carlos Anton is the defending Philippine Touring Car Champion and also holds the lap record in Batangas Racing Circuit (long, short, and inside track configurations).

He now sets his sights on the 2014 Phil-GT/PTCC crown and is backed by Yokohama, Castrol, Works Bell brakes Japan, Cars Unlimited, EthanWorxs, View Park Hotel, Buddyclub, Autoshack, JSD Autosport and Special Stage.
