Sanitary stays unscathed in Lawana Camp-A A +A

BARANGAY Sanitary Camp handed Sto. Rosario Valley its third loss after a 104-67 victory to gain the upper hand in group A of the 5th Samahang Barangay Pangkalikasan-Lawana Cup 2014.
The defending champions took advantage of the homecourt advantage in trampling their opponents during Sunday’s ballgame at the Sanitary Camp covered court.
Sanitary Camp remained unscathed with its 3-0 win-loss record as QM-Quarry falls with 3-1 after being dismantled earlier by Barangay Andres Bonifacio (2-1) in their first meeting.
Meanwhile, Barangay Lualhati stays strong in group B with 3-0 after defeating Dontogan (1-2) in their last match up, 108-97, while Dominican-Mirador and Pinget are tied with a record 2-1.
Padre Burgos and Honeymoon-Holyghost are tied in group C matching with a clean three victories while San Antonio Village and Kagitingan Barangay remains hapless, both with three straight defeats.
Loakan bagged an easy conquest after winning by default against Lourdes Proper (2-1) to lead group D with 3-0, while Dagsian United recovered with a 2-2 card after delivering the third straight loss of Outlook Barangay.
Some 36 amateur teams from the various barangays of the city hunt for supremacy in a competition aimed to promote sports and cultivate environmental care among its participants.
The tournament which tipped off earlier in June is expected to run until later in November this year.
Other participating teams this season include Cabinethill-Teacher’s Camp, Military Cut-off, Minesview-GoodShepherd, Quirino Hill, for group A. Camdas, Engineer’s Hill, Guisad Central, Kias, and PMA-Fort Del Pilar in group B.
Camp 8, City Camp Central, MRR-Queen of Peace, Pinsao Pilot, and Trancoville are matching in group C, while Ambiong, Bakakeng Central, DPS Compound, Irisan, and Scout Barrio also plays in group D.
