G-string football registration ongoing
Wednesday, February 20, 2013 - 01:02 a.m.VARIOUS local teams and from outside of the city are expected to suit up as the second, one-of-a-kind Goshen Land G-String Football Cup kicks off on March 9 at the Melvin Jones and Athletic Bowl football fields.
Registration is now in full swing with three categories will be played in the G-String Division which includes the elementary, high school and open divisions in a 7-a-side play in the one day tournament and will see players from 5 years old to seniors slug it out.

William Pel-ey, a 54-year-old employee of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) here, collapsed at the finish line in Burnham Park during a 5-kilometer (5K) race that began at 5 a.m.
