AFTER a month of delay due to typhoons, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Training Center (Tesda-RTC) finally unveiled its Center for Excellence in Modern Manufacturing Technology (CEMMT), Wednesday.
The Tesda-RTC located at Loakan Road is equipped with high-end Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines, acquired by the government through a soft loan from the Government of Austria.

It is not only capable of producing high-skilled and internationally competitive workers/trainees but could also manufacture high-end machine-manufactured spare parts.
Pastor Guiao, Tesda Deputy Director-General for Community and Local Government Affairs and oversight DDG for Tesda Technology Institutes, led the ceremonial unveiling of marker and ribbon cutting of the CEMMT.
In his keynote address, Guiao stressed that with the success of the CEMMT project, it is now high time to look at the content, relevance and sustainability of the program.
He encouraged all the stakeholders to double their effort and maximize the investment they can make for the program, not only to support the machining manufacturing industry but also to provide employment that could help the government and local communities.
Relative to this, Tesda-CAR has entered into an agreement with Moog Controls Inc., a multi-national company in Epza-Baguio City, for the Tesda-RTC to become a supply chain of servo-mechanic control spare parts the company needed.
