Arroyo directs opening of terminal 3

PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has directed the transportation department to open the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 flights by the end of March 2007.
Cabinet Secretary Ricardo Saludo said Arroyo, during Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, ordered the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) to finish the evaluation of the airport’s structural integrity by next month. (more…)

Arroyo sacks defense exec for ‘graft’

PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has dismissed Defense Assistant Secretary Ricardo San Andres for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
Aside from dismissal, San Andres was also slapped with a perpetual disqualification to hold public office, cancellation of eligibility and forfeiture of all government financial benefits. (more…)

Palace denies plan to change Navy chief
