IN A bid to make the Philippines an attractive place for retirees, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Saturday inaugurated the country’s first “retirement village” in Batangas.
A Malacañang statement said the “retirement and tourism haven” in Barangay Kaylaway, Nasugbu in the province will cater to former Filipino citizens and foreign nationals.(more)

FIRST Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo may soon be off dialysis treatment within the week, as his kidneys finally start to normalize its functions, according to his main physician.
