PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo may cut short her present trip to the US following the death of former President Corazon Aquino Saturday, a Malacañang official said.
Acting executive secretary and presidential political adviser Gabriel Claudio over radio interview said that Arroyo and her senior aides were discussing the matter Saturday morning.
“It is being discussed now. Since before dawn I had been speaking to Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita. And I suppose it is one of the things to be discussed there. I do not know how it will affect the schedule of the president and of the presidential party,” he said on government-run dzRB.
Claudio issued the statement when asked if Mrs. Aquino’s death would affect the trip of Arroyo. (more)
