THE Department of Tourism-Southern Mindanao will promote Davao Region’s top three festivals — Kadayawan in Davao City, Caracoles in the Island Garden City of Samal, and Musikahan in Tagum City — to Manila tour operators to boost tourism and the region’s economy.
DOT Regional Director Sonia Garcia in Monday’s Kapehan sa Dabaw at the SM City Davao said negotiations are being done with Manila tour operators to market these big events, but quick to add that local tour operators are not in the losing end as they are the one who will work on the ground and create tour packages.
