GOODBYE’S a poison to me eversince — so potent that it leaves me lifeless in no time. With one wave, buckets of tears and weeks of sleepless nights are sacrificed. I’m such a dork at fighting back. I feel so much. I’m too much of a sucker of emotions. That’s why i can’t help but turn into a raging psycho over whoever’s leaving. I selfishly watch closely over my possessions. I mark my territory in bold, blinking, underlined warning signs. Needless to say, i am the superlative of possessiveness.

IN THIS life, no matter how happy or successful or secure we are, there are just moments when we don’t know what to do or where to go, when we feel bored and dry for no reason at all, when we feel lonely even if we’re not alone, when all we just want to do is sit down and relax or lie down and stare blankly at the ceiling. Then all of a sudden, out of the blue, flashes of our yesteryears come to view. We think about certain people we’ve been with, places we’ve been to, or some events that occured some decades or so.
We often hear or see how people change their attitudes and ways of life once they have become rich and famous. They tend to put all these in their heads, forgetting the fact that as mortal beings, we don’t own anything in this world. Not our profession, not those hectares of land, homes and condo units, cars and jewelries, apparels, furnitures, home appliances, computers, cellphones, LCDs, digicams, and other so-called possessions or personal properties that we claim as ours. Neither the myriad of trophies nor the plaques of recognition displayed in one corner of the house.
Everything is just being loaned to us. We are all but passing visitors on a limited tourist visa. One of these days, whether we like it or not, we will all go back to where we came from as in “from ashes to ashes, dust to dust”. Yes, just as we didn’t bring with us anything when we were born except for our shrill cry that signalled life and our entry into this world, we also won’t be bringing with us anything when we return home.

EVERYONE has a price. That is the reality! However the price for others could be the life of a loved one, the well-being of a family, the future of a child etc.
For Judas who sold his master for 30 pieces of silver, and others like him, it was and is greed.
Some scholars have tried to excuse Judas’ act of treason by saying, “He probably thought the money could be put to good use for the disciples and perhaps he really had no intentions of going through with the deal. Remember Judas did try to return the money.”
