Felt of Dreams
The biggest billiard tournament in the south opens with a pot of P388,500 at the Sun.Star Superbalita 9-Ball Challenge at the SM City Trade Hall. Now on its fourth season, the tilt is open to the elementary, high school, class A and class B divisions. A 50-percent discount on registration fees will be given to registrants bringing five clipped mastheads of either Sun.Star Cebu or SuperBalita.

Photo Flights
Photographers and designers weave energies in “Large,” an exhibit on photo-abstraction. Running until July 13 at the Atrium of SM City Cebu, the Fashion Council of Cebu will have their masterpieces interpreted through the lenses of Bautista, Bencab, Castillo, Tysmans, Davocol, Guingona, Zobel and Escaler.

In support of Republic Act 9003, or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, a Waste Market Fair will be conducted at the SM City Cebu V-Hire Terminal from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. An exhibit of recycled products and the buying of recyclables are aimed at raising the public’s awareness and practice of solid waste management through proper segregation.

Stage Cure
Little Boy Productions invites the public to An Afternoon with Ryan Cayabyab, a free interactive lecture at 2 p.m. in the SM City Cebu Conference Hall. Mr. C, a multi-awarded composer, conductor, and songwriter, will give tips on performing on stage and preparing for competitive professional auditions. The lecture includes live demonstrations from guest singers, as well as updates of upcoming auditions in Cebu.

The Provincial Government and local governments roll out again the red carpet of Cebuano hospitality with the annual Suroy Suroy Sugbo. Featuring 40 festivals, tourist spots, local products and delicacies, the three Suroy Suroy packages are the Southern Heritage Trail (July 20-22), Northern Escapade (July 27-29) and Rediscover Camotes (Aug.10-12). Make bookings at the Governor’s Office or SM City Cebu.
