That’s right, Kidsters. Your Tita Dulce wants to remind you to be honest in all that you do.  Being honest means saying the truth at all times.  No small or white lies

If you did not do your homework because you were watching television instead, be honest and admit it.
Sure, you will get scolded but as I just read recently, be honest enough to admit your mistake for watching television instead of doing your homework.  You know it was wrong and you wasted precious time.  Learn the lesson from your mistake and remember it.  Do not dwell on the scolding or the punishment.  Think of the lesson learned. That’s right, Kidsters! There are ways on how not to get angry at our classmates, siblings, elders, helpers, or even at our pets. Another way of saying it is there are ways on how to control our emotions.

Even when I am already this age, I still find it hard to control my temper or not get angry, especially when others really make you lose your patience. A relative of mine who lives in the U.S. and is a military man, sent me an email giving tips on how to control emotions.

The importance of using polite words

God created us so that we could be loving to one another. When we use polite words, it means respecting and loving people.

We learn how to care and people will be kind to us. By being polite, our wishes will come true or be granted.

We make people smile and be happy. There is peace around us. There will be no war and no killings. And the world will be a better place for everyone.

I just came across a write up by an elementary school student from Carmona Elementary School in Carmona, Cavite published  in the year 2006 in their official school and community paper called “The Central Point.”  The title of Joe Mark B. Mercado’s piece is “Lincoln’s 10 ‘cannots’ and I would like to share it with you. Joe says these were the ten ‘cannots’ that the US President Abraham Lincoln followed that made him a successful person.
