School may seem like a lot of work — hey, it is. We go so that we can learn about lots of stuff and figure out how we fit into the world. You probably have a subject that you like better than another. Is it Math? Science? Langauge?

God gave each of us gifts for different parts of life. And he wants us to do the best we can with the job he’s given us to do. What do you think yours is? What are you good at? Seek to find the job that God has for you.

What’s hanging around in the bottom of your backpack–old receipts? Chewed-up pencils? Fuzz balls? Crumpled up notes? A wad of gum? (ew) Wherever you go, it all goes with you. Like our backpacks, our lives have some junk in them — stuff we know we’d be better off without like a bad attitude, telling white lies, permanently borrowing stuff, you get the idea.These things could be holding you back from living the way Jesus wants you to. Check out those corners of your lives. What needs to go?

Get over the idea that only children should spend their time in study. Be a student so long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all your life.
