AFTER the terrible beating he got from Manny Pacquiao in November of 2003, Mexican warrior Marco Antonio Barrera still refuses to give credit to the Filipino fighter.

Whether he was honestly telling it or not, no one really knows. But one thing is clear: The ghost of that defeat still hounds Barrera.

  • Pacquiao leaves for US Monday

    ALREADY late for training, Filipino ring warrior Manny Pacquiao finally leaves for the US Monday to embark in another rigorous work out as he prepares for his July 2 super featherweight clash with dangerous Mexican Oscar Larios.

    The 27-year-old Pacquiao decided to delay his trip anew to be with his mother Dionesia on Mother’s Day in General Santos City, but should be onboard PAL flight 102 for Los Angeles at 10 p.m. Sunday.

  • Mayor Pacquiao, why not?

    WBC Super Featherweight International champ Manny Pacquiao said he is not vying for the mayoral post in General Santos.

    Out of respect to Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr., a close family friend of “Pacman”, he would not join in the political fray in General Santos City.

  • Revenue bureau clears ‘Pacman’

    FILIPINO boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has settled his tax obligations, which is reportedly worth P10 million, with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the district office in this city confirmed last week.

    Noel Gonzales, acting BIR district officer here, said Pacquiao is also set to pay millions in line with his value added tax (VAT) obligations.
