    MANILA — Mexican Oscar “Chololo” Larios has no greater ambition than to beat Manny Pacquiao.

    And he is so confident of winning that he is already offering the Filipino a rematch.

    The 29-year-old Larios yesterday admitted that the guaranteed $450,000 fight purse he will receive against Pacquiao on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum is one of the biggest in his 13-year professional boxing career.

    MANNY Pacquiao, the punching machine from General Santos City, has left a trail of Mexican victims on his way to becoming a world boxing star. Gabriel Mira, Emmanuel Lucero, Hector Velazquez and two of the great Mexican warriors — Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera — tumbled one after the other as a result of the Filipino pug’s onslaught, with only Juan Manuel Marquez able to survive the raid when he hacked out a controversial draw with Pacquiao back in 2004.

    Now comes Oscar Larios, another Mexican warrior who is ready to slug it out with Pacquiao in a super featherweight clash on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum. Will Larios become Pacquiao’s next Mexican victim?

    BOXING fans will have a glimpse of the main protagonists in the coming July 2 Mano-a-Mano fight card when Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Larios meet again Monday in a public-press preview at the Araneta Coliseum.

    Larios of Mexico was expected to plane in Sunday afternoon from Japan where he trained for the biggest fight of his career.

    FOUR wide screens will be put up in four Davao City malls for the viewing public who want to catch the Mano-a-Mano super featherweight fight of Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines against Oscar Larios of Mexico on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.

    Television network ABS-CBN, organizer of the Pacquiao fight, will put up the screens in Gaisano Mall of Davao, Gaisano South Citimall, NCCC Mall and Victoria Plaza to allow shoppers to enjoy the fight on a delayed basis.
