FORMER world boxing champion Bernard Hopkins is expecting Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao to retain his No.1 pound-for-pound status after his fight with World Boxing Organization welterweight king Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Hopkins believes the 30-year-old Pacquiao will brutalize Cotto, like what he did to the towering Oscar de la Hoya, whom he retired in the ninth round of their mega match last Dec. 6. (more)

AFTER a recent spate of victories in four different weight classes, Manny Pacquiao has been dubbed the best fighter of the world and was recently named the Best Fighter during American sports network ESPN’s annual Espy Awards.
But according to World Boxing Organization (WBO) light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, Pacquiao isn’t an elite fighter. (more)

MANNY Pacquiao returns to Cebu today for the birthday celebration of Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña.
Pacquiao’s close friend and confidante, Rex “Wakee” Salud, said Pacquiao will sing a song for Osmeña during the mayor’s celebration tonight at the SM City Trade Hall. (more)

WORLD Boxing Association welterweight king Shane Mosley is back trying to lure Manny Pacquiao to a fight and this time, instead of meeting at a catchweight, Mosley said he is willing to go all the way down to 140 pounds.
Mosley, the 147-pound champion, earlier ended his chase for a super bout with Pacquiao after he was ignored by the Filipino superstar’s promoter Bob Arum. (more)
