  • MALACAÑANG would respect the decision of boxing champion Manny Pacquiao to join the Nacionalista Party (NP) in pursuing his bid for Saranggani congressional seat if he decides to proceed with it.

    Press Secretary Cerge Remonde, in an interview by Radyo ng Bayan, said as far as he knows nothing final has been reached about Pacquiao’s supposed plans to join Senator Manuel Villar’s party. (more)

    THERE has been intermittent debate on merits of kissing with open or closed eyes. With published photos showing boxing champ Manny Pacquiao locking lips with wife Jinky, arguments are likely to fly again.

    Her eyes were open. Manny’s must’ve been open too but cameras focused on the face of Jinky, with whom he has been feuding over a sexy starlet (who illicitly came with the luggage when he flew to Las Vegas for that Nov. 15 fight). (more)

  • Busto: Values gone wrong

    I THOUGHT I had written enough of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao after his very impressive fight with Ricky Hatton whom he knocked down in the second round in March this year. But I just cannot ignore the phenomenon of the Pacman who gets much adulation not only from Filipinos but also from other peoples worldwide.

    The world stopped again Sunday last week when he went to fight the bigger Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto for the WBO welterweight title. He did not only carve his name in boxing history books, he also had the people glued to TV and radio as he took on the fight. (more)
