ELEVEN people were reportedly injured after a vehicle collision along the "killer highway" in Quezon City early Tuesday.

A radio report said the incident, which involved a passenger jeepney and a van, took place along the Commonwealth Avenue around 5 a.m.

The report said of the 11 injured, five were passengers of the jeep while six were onboard the van.

It added the jeepney driver identified as Daniel Talledo admitted hitting the van because he was speeding and his brakes failed.

Commonwealth Avenue was named "killer highway" because of the high incidence of road accidents.

Investigation on the incident is ongoing. (Sunnex)
