MANILA -- The Government of the Philippines (GPH) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) signed Sunday night the power sharing annex of the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) in Malaysia.
The FAB envisions the creation of a Bangsamoro government that would replace the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in 2016. It was signed on October 15, 2012. [READ: Philippines signs peace deal with Muslim rebels]

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- WBA and WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux retained his titles with a 12-round, unanimous decision over former two-time bantamweight champ Joseph Agbeko on Saturday.
All three judges had Rigondeaux winning every round, with identical scores of 120-108.

SINGAPORE Telecommunications Ltd. (SingTel) has donated via Globe Telecom’s corporate social responsibility program SGD 50,000 (roughly P1.75 million) for food and drinking water of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims.
SingTel has set up staff donation drives across its operations in Singapore and Australia to raise more funds. SingTel is a major stockholder of Globe together with Ayala Corporation.

OLONGAPO CITY -- The City Government here has found a way to dredge its river channel, after the massive flooding in August and September and the recent outbreak of leptospirosis due to the flood.
The dredging operation started after SM Prime Holding donated a backhoe worth P2.4 million in an effort to help the debt-ridden city unclog its river channel.

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has ordered an investigation into the parole given to convicted former Batangas Governor Antonio Leviste, a Palace official said Sunday.
The Chief Executive was apparently not informed that Leviste was among the 35 prisoners who were granted parole as he expressed his dissatisfaction.

Japan's defense minister called on the international community Sunday to oppose China's recently declared maritime air defense zone over the East China Sea and possibly over the disputed South China Sea.
Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera discussed Japan's concern over China's action separately with Philippine Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Australian Foreign Minister Julia Bishop. Onodera and Bishop separately visited central Tacloban city, which was ruined by Typhoon Haiyan last month.

MANILA -- A court employee in Isabela was ordered dismissed from the service for pocketing the P3,000-clothing allowance of another employee in 1999 through forgery.
In a decision, the Supreme Court (SC) said Elizabeth Ibay, clerk II of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Cauayan, Isabela, is guilty of dishonesty.
