Fire hits IT Park in Cebu

CEBU CITY (2nd Update) -- A fire broke out Friday evening at a residential area near the i2 building in IT Park, Cebu City.
Explosions were heard before the fire broke out, radio reports said.
The Cebu City Fire Department received the alarm at 9:12 p.m.
Firefighters, who had difficulty penetrating the area due to narrow alleys and thick smoke, declared the fire under control around 10:30 p.m.
An official of Barangay Apas said more or less 20 houses were burned. The village officials are still looking for an area where the affected families can be housed temporarily.
No casualty has been reported as of this posting. (Sunnex)
