Ex-lawmaker's boyfriend shot dead

MANILA -- Representative Nanette Castelo-Daza's long-time boyfriend was shot dead in Quezon City Friday.

The victim Noel Orate was shot five times inside Daza's house in Barangay Teachers Village East in Quezon City. Orate, Daza's boyfriend of 12 years, died on the spot.

The suspect was identified as Daza's son-in-law Allan Robes, a board member of Bulacan province.

The suspect was arrested and is detained at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.

Investigation on the case continues, police said. (Sunnex)
