THE weather bureau said Thursday a tail-end of a cold front is affecting northern Mindanao, while an intertropical convergence zone continues to affect Mindanao.
With this, northern and central Luzon and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over extreme northern Luzon that may trigger flash floods and landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its latest advisory.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa added.
It also said moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over the western section of Luzon and the coastal waters along this area will be moderate to rough. (Sunnex)
