4 members of drug group arrested in Zambales

MANILA -- Joint anti-narcotics agents and police personnel have arrested four members of a notorious drug group, including its leader, in the province of Zambales, official said on Sunday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Jose Gutierrez Jr. identified the suspects as Madji Jumdani, 38, leader of the Majie Drug Group; Abdul Hawari, 32; Jeordana Cruz, 25; and Trixie Ortegeuza, 19, all members of Majie Drug Group and residents of Purok 6B, Muslim Area, Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales. The suspects were nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Subic on May 22.
Jumdani and his cohorts were arrested by authorities during an entrapment operation conducted in Sitio Matangib, Barangay Cawag after they sold one plastic sachet of shabu to a PDEA poseur-buyer.
Further search on the suspects yielded another three plastic sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, a racing boat, and two improvised .22 caliber rifles.
Gutierrez said that the suspects are listed in the PDEA Order of Battle and had been the subject of careful surveillance and casing.
Charges for violation of Section 26 (Conspiracy) in relation to Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
