Oil firms enforce uniform price rollback effective Tuesday

MANILA -- Oil firms on Monday announced rollback on their petroleum products effective Tuesday.
Effective 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, the so-called “Big Three” oil companies Pilipinas Shell, Petron Corp. and Chevron Philippines (formerly Caltex) would implement a uniform cuts in their respective pump prices.
They will reduce prices of premium and unleaded gasoline P1.20 per liter; P1.10 per liter on regular gasoline; P0.50 per liter on diesel; and P0.35 per liter on kerosene.
Meanwhile, Eastern Petroleum Philippines, an independent oil company, said it would cut prices of its petroleum products at the same levels of the "Big Three," also at past midnight Tuesday.
Tuesday's price adjustments by Shell, Petron and Chevron would be their 10 successive rollbacks, while the Eastern Petroleum underscored that it would already be its 11th straight price cut.
As of Monday, the average fuel prices in Metro Manila stood at the following levels: diesel, P41 per liter; unleaded P51 per liter and kerosene, P52 per liter. (PNA/Sunnex)
