TREMORS separately hit a coastal town in Cagayan and Dinagat province in Eastern Mindanao but no damage or aftershock is expected, state seismologists said Sunday.
In an advisory, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude 4.1 quake occurred 18 kilometers northwest of Dapa, Dinagat at 12:15 p.m.
A minute later, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake hit Claveria, Cagayan with the epicenter traced 60 kilometers northwest of the town. It had a shallow depth of one kilometer.
About 20 earthquakes occur in the Philippines everyday but only a few are felt. (Virgil Lopez/Sunnex)
