FORMER Philippine Tourism Authority head Nixon Kua and his daughter were shot and wounded by still unidentified suspects in Calamba City in Laguna province on Saturday night.
Provincial police chief Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz said the suspects also carted away a bag of Kua’s 21-year-old daughter, Allyxon, containing P90,000 cash and an iPhone.
Cruz said the 49-year-old Kua and his daughter were inside their home in Greenfield Makiling Highland in Maunong village when the incident occurred around 8 p.m.
He said the four suspects barged into the residence and one of them shot Kua, hitting him in the face and different parts of his body.
Another suspect shot Kua’s daughter and grabbed her bag before they escaped, Cruz added.
He said authorities have formed Task Force Nixon to track down the perpetrators.
A P100,000 reward is being offered for information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.(VR/Sunnex)
