CEBU CITY (4th Update, 3:19 p.m.) -- A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in a village in this city.
The fire destroyed two houses and damaged one house in Sikatuna-Imus St., near the Barangay Day-As Hall, field investigator Fire Officer 3 Emeliano Daño said.
The first alarm was received by the Cebu City Fire Department at 1:28 p.m. from a certain “Flor Esccollar,” a resident of the place.
Daño said the fire started at the house of Alejandro Maglinte, who was not at home during the incident.
Daño said Almi Maglinte, son of Alejandro, was at home when the incident took place, but the latter was asleep.
Initial investigation showed that the fire was caused by a faulty electrical wiring.
The fire was put under control at 1:36 p.m.
Damage to properties was pegged at P30,000. (Jay Ann Clamohoy/Sunnex)
