Cop, 2 others hurt in Cotabato roadside bomb

MANILA -- A police official and two civilians were injured Wednesday morning when a roadside bomb exploded near a police headquarters in Cotabato City, officials said.
Maguindanao police director Marcelo Pintac said the improvised bomb exploded around 6:10 a.m. near the Maguindanao Provincial Police Office.
The explosion wounded Inspector Marxdeo Aperocho and civilians Akmad Minas and Sheiyd Balabad. All victims were taken to a hospital.
The bomb fashioned from a 105 millimeter mortar round damaged a service vehicle of the police Special Action Force and a passenger jeepney.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the identities of the suspects and their motives. (VR/Sunnex)
