Underwater current delays retrieval in Masbate

CEBU CITY -- Strong underwater currents have delayed the retrieval operations of the remains of two pilots who were found Tuesday in the fuselage of the ill-fated Piper Seneca plane that crashed off Masbate last Saturday.
In a press conference Wednesday morning, divers were supposed to resume retrieval operations at 10:30 a.m. for the remains of Captain Jessup Bahinting and Nepalese Kshitiz Chand.
The remains of Bahinting and Chand were found Tuesday together with the body of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo in the fuselage of the twin-engine Piper Seneca plane that crashed off Masbate last Saturday.
Divers located the fuselage 800 meters from the shores of Masbate at a depth of 180 feet. (Sunnex)
