Cessna plane crashes in La Union; Indonesian pilot rescued

A CESSNA plane manned by an Indonesion national crashed on Monday in the City of San Fernando, La Union, radio and television reports said.
The Indonesion national identified as Michael Djaja, who is a student pilot of Leading Edge International Academy in the City of San Fernando, was rescued and is now at a hospital, a television report said.
The single-engine Cessna plane took off around 10 a.m. from San Fernando Airport.
Radio reports said members of the Philippine Air Force immediately conducted search operations after the ill-fated plane lost contact and communication around 12 p.m. The pilot's mobile phone was unattended as well.
There are still no reports as of this posting Monday of what have had caused the crash. (Sunnex)
