Fire hits 2 sitios in Mandaue City

CEBU CITY -- Several houses were destroyed in a fire that hit two sitios in Barangay Umapad, Mandaue City in Cebu Monday night, radio reports said.
The fire, which hit sitios Coconut and Bacchus Stone in Barangay Umapad, started from unattended candles in one of the houses made of light materials, according to initial reports.
The blaze occurred around 8 p.m. Monday. It was declared under control around 10:20 p.m.
Investigation is ongoing as of this posting. (Sunnex)
