2 cops killed in Caloocan City shootout

TWO police officers were killed Tuesday in a shootout with suspected robbers in Caloocan City, a radio report said.
The victims were identified as Senior Police Officer 3 (SPO3) Tom Perez and SPO1 Tirso Roncales Jr., both members of the Northern Police District.
Reports said Perez and Roncales were conducting routine patrol when they spotted two men with a gun onboard a motorcycle.
The policemen tried to stop the suspects but the latter sped off going to Bagong Silang area, the radio report added.
When Perez and Roncales reached Bagong Silang they were shot dead by the suspects.
A manhunt operation is now ongoing against the perpetrators. (Sunnex)
