5.6-magnitude quake hits Bukidnon

MANILA -- A magnitude 5.6 earthquake jolted parts of Northern Mindanao on Tuesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Philvocs said the earthquake's epicenter was traced at 015 km N 24° W of Maramag, Bukidnon.
The quake of tectonic origin was recorded at 3:44 a.m. Tuesday and had a depth of three kilometers.
As of 7:15 a.m. two aftershocks were recorded. There were no immediate reports of casualties and damages to properties.
Philvocs noted that Intensity 5 was felt in Maramag while Intensity 4 was experienced in Valencia City of Bukidnon and Arakan, North Cotabato.
Intensity 3 was felt in Malaybalay City, Cagayan De Oro City, Misamis Oriental and Kidapawan City while Intensity 2 was ecperienced in the cities of Butuan and Cotabato. (Sunnex)
