Wreckage of Robredo's plane now in Manila

MANILA - Wreckage of the Piper Seneca plane that crashed off Masbate waters last month carrying the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo and 2 pilots arrived in Manila Thursday afternoon.
The wreckage contained in four crates includes the fuselage, two wings, plane's engines, and other parts of the RP-C4431. All of the parts were recovered at the crash site in the province of Masbate.
The fuselage will be transferred to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) office in Pasay City for the special investigation.
General Rodante Joya, Caap deputy director, said the special investigation will be conducted by a committee, which is composed of aviation industry experts headed by Captain Amado Soliman, chief of the Caap accident investigation board.
Divers recovered the fuselage of the plane about 800 meters off the waters of Masbate and was brought by the Philippine Coast Guard vessel 891 to the Manila South Harbor at 2 p.m. Thursday. (Sunnex)
