MANILA -- Former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo said Thursday that she suffers from severe dehydration.
"I keep entering the hospital and having intravenous dextrose due to my severe dehydration," Arroyo posted in her Twitter account, @gmarroyo.
"A naturalist practitioner even attributed my recurring spinal problems to this severe dehydration," she added.
Following the advice of the naturalist practitioner, Arroyo is drinking tap water with non-iodized natural sea salt.
Earlier this week, the former President underwent her fourth stem cell intravenous treatment in Tagaytay City.
She continues to attend her thrice a week therapy at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, where she had spent eight months in hospital arrest for electoral sabotage charges in connection with the 2007 midterm polls.
In another tweet, Arroyo thanked her supporters and Twitter followers who have been praying for her recovery.
"Thanks to all who sent good wishes for my health. Thanks to those who acknowledge my fundamental economic reforms that made our economy resilient and brought it on the path of sustained growth," she said. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
