MANILA -- The fire that hit an industrial building in Parañaque City on Monday morning caused an estimated damage of about P1 million, the state disaster agency reported today.
The National Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) said the fire started at the lady's quarters at the second floor of the the Asia Embroidery Building on Japan Street, Barangay Don Bosco, Better Living, around 9:23 a.m.
The building's owners were identified as Dionisio Chan, Lourdes Raga, and Jimmy Po.
The fire lasted for about three hours after authorities declared the fire out at 12:24 p.m.
The NDRRMC said no casualty was reported and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Meanwhile, the NDRRMC also reported another fire incident in Metro Manila on Monday that blazed a residential establishment.
In Valenzuela City, a fire blazed a two-storey residential structure along Felomina Street, Balubaran around 12:30 a.m.
No casualty was reported from the fire but cost of damage was placed at P300,000. (Emmanuel Louis Bacani/Sunnex)
