Roxas, government officials to assess peace and order situation in NCR

QUEZON CITY -- Government officials today, Wednesday, will assess the peace and order situation in the National Capitol Region (NCR) in a meeting today of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC).
Newly appointed Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas will attend the meeting together with Metro Manila mayors, officials from the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines and regional directors of national government agencies.
Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri, the current chairman, will preside over the NCR-RPOC meeting.
The agendas include NCR Police Office's plans and programs on peace and order and the latest Integrated Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan by the technical working group.
The meeting is expected to improve the peace and order initiatives in the region. It also aims to strengthen coordination of groups involved in peace and security. (RJB/JCP-PIA NCR)
