Classes suspended in Metro Manila, nearby provinces

MANILA -- Due to continuous, heavy rain since dawn Wednesday, classes have been suspended in several areas in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
Afternoon classes in both public and private schools from pre-school to high school are suspended in the following areas:
Caloocan; Pateros; Marikina; Makati; San Juan; Quezon City; Mandaluyong and Cainta and Taytay towns in Rizal.
In Malabon, classes in public schools only are suspended while suspension of classes in private schools are left to the discretion of its officials.
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila has also announced suspension of classes in college.
In Manila and Cavite province, classes are suspended in all levels.
Meanwhile, Navotas has not suspended classes Wednesday. (PNA)
