UST tops UAAP judo

MANILA -- University of Santo Tomas continues to rule the judo competitions of the UAAP after it bagged the men's and women's titles over the weekend at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
Finishing with 51 points, the Growling Tigers had a 3-3-3 gold-silver-bronze record to score their second consecutive championship and 10th overall.
University of the Philippines and La Salle placed second and third, respectively.
In women's division, the Tigresses collected 53 points en route to a third straight championship, 15 points ahead of the 12-time winner Lady Maroons, who finished second with 38 points.
UST now holds six women's crowns on the back of efforts of tournament MVP Jewel de Castro and top rookie Sueko Kinjho.
