Padaca to sit at Comelec Second Division

MANILA -- Commission on Elections Chairman Sixto Brillantes on Thursday said newly- appointed commissioner Maria Gracia Cielo "Grace" Padaca will sit at the second division of the poll body.
In an interview with reporters, Brillantes said he will discuss with the former Isabela governor her assignments at the second division.
"Kakausapin ko siya, meron kaming pag uusapan mamaya kung ano yung assignments, yung designation niya sa 2nd division kasi yun ang bakante at fifillupan yung bakante," he said.
On Monday, President Benigno Aquino III appointed Padaca to replace Augusto “Gus” Lagman in the poll body.
"Maraming kaso ang naka-assign sa second division at dun din ang partylist pero baka hindi na siya umabot dun," he said.
Comelec has set the deadline of releasing the list of partylist groups vying for the 2013 midterm polls on September 30. (PNA)
